Bio Bag 100% Certified Compostable Bin Liners

Bio Bag Compostable Bin Liners

BioBag liners provide convenient and hygienic solutions for homes and businesses. Not only are they environmentally-friendly, but they also replace traditional plastic bags in all areas where bin liners are needed. With various sizes and types available, the Bio Bag Bin Liners will fill everything from a small compost caddy to a wheelie bin.

Bio Bags are certified compostable bin liners suitable for industrial and home composting. Fill them with food scraps and add to your home compost bin.

Bio Bags are made in Australia.

What makes Bio Bag Compostable Bin Liners so Good?

Unlike some other bags on the market, Bio Bag Bin Liners are CERTIFIED compostable to Australian standards, which means they have been independently assessed to break down to virtually undetectable levels in the soil and are deemed “worm safe” with no micro plastic residues left behind.

Their compostable bin liners are available in 4 sizes (8L, 30L, 50L and 240L) and are made from 100% GMO free renewable plants and are free from any plastic additives such as Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Polystyrene & PVC.

Check out the video below to see how Bio Bags are made.

What are Bio Bags Made From?

Bio Bag Bin Liners are manufactured in Australia using a compostable resin derived from plants (non-GMO corn starch), vegetable oils and compostable polymers called Mater-Bi® from Novamont, an Italian research company committed to providing eco-friendly options to traditional polyethylene-based plastics.

BioBag bin liners are made from 100% certified compostable materials. They effectively divert organic waste from landfills, allowing it to be recycled into nutrient-rich compost that can nourish and enhance our soil quality.

Important Notes for Use of Compostable Bin Liners:

As the liners are compostable, unlike traditional single use plastic bin liners, it is important they are used ideally within 3-6 months of purchase and kept in a cool dark space, otherwise they may start to break down.

Compostable bin liners need to be treated slightly differently to traditional plastic bin liners as the material they are made from is designed to break down easier than plastic – which is a good thing, however,  this may mean that if placing wet waste in your bin liners you need to empty your bin more frequently as if moisture is added, the composting process may begin and could lead to spills or splitting when emptying your bin on a weekly basis.

If possible, wrapping your wet waste in old newspaper first may help increase the life of your bag by preventing moisture from building up.

Great Bags!

It is so great to be able to use compostable bin bags. I use the small for my bench bin and the large for bigger amounts. They are easy to use and really good for the environment.

Very tough, I reuse them

These liners are tough and I just empty the actual contents of the bin out at the end of the week and reuse the same liner. One liner lasts me weeks and I feel better using each one for as long as I can.
