Dutch Cream Seed Potatoes - Certified Organic - Boorara Organics

Dutch Cream seed potatoes are a versatile, late-season variety prized for their thin skin, golden waxy flesh, and rich buttery flavour.

Dutch Cream Seed Potatoes:

Dutch Cream seed potatoes are a versatile, late-season variety prized for their thin skin, golden waxy flesh, and rich buttery flavour. These indeterminate potatoes excel in sandy, humus rich soil with consistent moisture and regular hilling. Ready to harvest in 100–130 days once the vines naturally die back, they deliver reliable yields for home and market gardeners alike.

These seed potatoes are packaged in a paper bag. The pack size is 1kg.

Growing Requirements:

Planting: Sow in full sun from Autumn through Spring, positioning seed potatoes 10–15cm deep and 30cm apart.

Soil & Nutrition: Prefers loose, well-draining sandy soil with pH 5.0–6.5. Incorporate generous amounts of compost and manure before planting.

Chitting: Pre-sprout in a warm, bright location for several weeks until shoots reach approximately 1cm.

Mounding & Hilling: As growth emerges, heap soil or mulch around stems to prevent light exposure and maximise yield.

Watering: Maintain consistent moisture throughout the season, particularly during flowering.

Harvesting: Lift potatoes 100–130 days after planting, once foliage yellows and begins to die back.

• Curing: Once your potatoes are harvested, dry them in the sun for a day, or in a cool dry place inside for 5 days to toughen the skins.

Storing: Store in a hessian sack in a cool, dark place, away from onions.

Also available from Boorara organics is Organic Purple Stripe Seed Garlic and Organic Rojo Seed Garlic.

Boorara Organics is a hands on family farm where Ben, Sherry, Alex, Eliza, Lauchy and Layla use regenerative practices to prove that small scale farming using ethically sound and organic practices can successfully build communities. Founded in 2017, the farm began with a small scale cattle breeding program before the first garlic crop was planted in 2022. The garlic beds will remain permanently with only the top portion disturbed - allowing the organic farmer's best friend, the earth worm, to live in relative peace while continuing his important work.

Boorara is located near Northcliffe and Pemberton in the pristine Southern Forests region of Western Australia. They only use sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices on their nutrient-rich land, a perfect blend of karri sandy loam. This allows them to grow beautiful fruits and vegetables. Their goal is to only sell the best of the best to their customers. All produce is processed by hand.

Boorara Organics Dutch Cream potatoes are a new product for 2026.
