Aerate and Retain Nutrients and Water in Soil with Vermiculite
Vermiculite is a light weight mineral added to soil to hold onto nutrients and water, aerate and improve drainage in heavy soils.
Uses of Vermiculite for the Garden and Indoor Plants Soil
It aids soils to retain nutrients like magnesium, calcium and potassium that plants need. It improves moisture retention in soils and can also be used as a mulch for indoor plants.
Vermiculite is an essential ingredient when making quality seed raising or potting mixes from your home inputs.
The bag contains a volume of 6 litres of Vermiculite.
What is Vermiculite and How is it Made?
Vermiculite is mined worldwide and is a hydrous magnesium aluminium silicate that is shiny and lightweight. When the crude vermiculite ore is heated, the trapped water turns to steam which rapidly expands the ore flakes.
When heated it can expand its volume by 8 to 30 times.
