Choosing a bamboo toothbrush is a small but significant step towards creating a healthier planet.
Made from bamboo, an abundant and environmentally sustainable timber, the handle of this toothbrush is completely biodegradable. A carbonisation process gives the handle durability, water resistance and a smooth finish, and prevents microbial growth during normal use.
The bristles are made from nylon - the only biodegradable toothbrush bristles currently available are made from animal hair, which is problematic for many people. While a completely biodegradable toothbrush would be ideal, surely it's better to be 99% compostable than 100% plastic?
Most dentists recommend a soft toothbrush and this one is gentle on teeth and gums. The MiEco Environmental Toothbrush is also available in Adult (Medium Bristles) or Child (Soft Bristles).
