Edible Gardening the Regenerative Way with Craig Castree - 5:30 to 7:30pm 26 November

Would you like to grow a thriving, beautiful garden that also feeds you?

Come and join us at Urban Revolution on Thursday 26th November at 5:30pm for a unique workshop with Craig Castree who will walk us through his RegenEdible approach to gardening.

Moving away from the dedicated vegetable patch with rows of plants and bare, degraded soil, Craig invites us to explore an approach to food growing that regenerates soil over time. Learn how to use your existing garden as a starting point for creating a holistic, integrated oasis that builds soil life and grows nutritious food. Discover how ornamentals, flowering herbs and bulbs can all be part of the system.

Craig has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to regenerative gardening practices, and will be sharing insights from 45+ years of dedicated growing at his own home.

Learn how to grow food at home the regenerative way in this workshop with award-winning horticulturalist, author and educator Craig Castree.

Some of the exciting topics you can look forward to:

  • Restoring the soil food web, encouraging the work of beneficial microbes, fungi and worms
  • Growing edible plants that are bursting with nutrition
  • Integrating fruit trees in small spaces – having an orchard in your front or backyard is possible!
  • Why full, regenerative gardens don't struggle with weeds
  • Companion planting for success
  • Creating a regenerative system that requires minimal inputs – no back-breaking soil turning and no rows to maintain

Leave with plenty of ideas on how to bring regenerative practices into your garden in a way that works for you, your soil, and your table. And know that your garden can be part of the climate solution.

We are very excited to have Craig Castree with us. This is a workshop you don't want to miss!
