Why Use a Quality Seed Raising Mix?

This premium seed raising mix from The Green Life Soil Co will get your seeds off to a flying start. It is a high quality growing medium with added nutrition, and beneficial microbes to aid germination, growth and make minerals available to plants.

This certified organic mix contains a broad range of trace elements and minerals essential for healthy plant growth. It is a light mixture containing vermiculite to allow for easy root penetration and good air porosity.

A seed raising mix is a short term growth medium, supplying nutrients in a soluble form for quicker uptake. Suitable for germinating most seeds.

More Details

Ingredients:

A unique blend of certified organic inputs including composts, manures, minerals, vermiculite, and fertilisers.

How to Use Seed Raising Mix:

  1. Fill the seedling tray or pot to the desired depth. At least 8cm.
  2. Thoroughly moisten the soil mix before sowing. The soil needs to be moist and not waterlogged.
  3. Sow the seeds. A generic rule is to sow seeds to a depth of 2.5 times the width of the seed. A light furrow is all that is needed for small seeds.
  4. Lightly cover with more of the seed raising mix and gently water in by re-moistening the soil using a mister.
