Minister for Small Business Hon. Jackie Jarvis MLC visited Urban Revolution on Saturday 2 August 2025 to launch a new business grant aimed at helping small businesses across Perth and Western Australia.
Urban Revolution founder, Jo Bussell, was in store to meet with the Minister. Our own Bec Gardiner also prepared a statement for the Minister outlining the many challenges facing small businesses in the current economic climate.

The Minister visited several small businesses in Vic Park to reveal the $1 million Small Business Growth Grant on Saturday morning. She was accompanied by the Small Business Commissioner, Saj Adoolakhan.
The grant will provide WA small businesses with funding vouchers of up to $10,000 to access expert advice and specialist services to unlock new opportunities.
The State Government acknowledges that small businesses are a significant contributor to the WA economy, generating more than $50 billion in economic activity each year.
The program will provide matched funding vouchers of up to $10,000 to help eligible businesses access expert advice and specialist services to unlock new opportunities, diversify or scale-up with confidence.
Vouchers will support businesses with business planning, digital marketing and e-commerce, financial health checks, cybersecurity, tender responses, export readiness and market positioning. The program encourages small business owners to use their voucher to access services from other WA small businesses, delivering further benefits for WA's small business sector and the WA economy.

"That's why the Cook Government is helping WA businesses access expert services through this program to support businesses take the next step in their operations."
