Grow Something Beautiful from the Very Beginning
Bring the charm of a cottage garden to your backyard with From Little Acorns Flower Farm heirloom flower seed packets — thoughtfully curated, small-batch grown, and packed with the kind of blooms that make people stop and stare.
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting your hands dirty for the first time, these non-GMO flower seeds are selected for vigour, colour, and cut-flower performance. Plant them in drifts through your vegetable patch, weave them into fruit tree guilds, or let them colonise the edges and margins where wild things thrive.
A Feast for Insects, All Season Long
A healthy garden is an insect garden. By planting a variety of flowers, including perennials, we provide continuous forage all year round for our pollinators. Different flowers provide different foods for different insects.
•Bees — single-flowered, pollen-rich varieties that are easy to access
•Butterflies moths — nectar-dense flowers and host plants for their offspring
•Beetles - ground beetles — open flower structures and undisturbed mulch zones create hunting habitat for nature’s pest controllers
Diversity Is the Design
In permaculture, monocultures are fragile — polycultures are resilient. Planting a variety of flowers creates multiple species, bloom times, heights and root depths, all working together as a guild. The result is a garden that:
- Builds biodiversity above and below ground
- Creates habitat stacking — flowers at every height from ground cover to tall
- Supports seed-saving cycles so your garden regenerates itself
- Produces cut flowers for your home without taking anything away from the ecosystem
