Coir Bedding Block:
This worm farm bedding block is made from 100% natural coconut fibre and will expand up to 10 times its original size in water.
It creates an ideal bedding to start-up your worm farm. The coconut fibre contains no chemicals or salts and worms love it!
This coir fibre bedding block can also be used as an addition to potting mixes or soil mixes for moisture retention in potted plants, garden beds, vertical gardens & planter boxes.
Directions for Use:
- Remove wrapping (set aside for later) and place the bedding block into bucket large enough to hold approximately 10L of expanded coir. Add about 5.5 litres of tepid water.
- The bedding block will soak up the water and begin to break up, eventually expanding to about 10 times the original size over 15 minutes or so.
- Place the wrapping with the sticker removed into the base of your first working tray of the worm farm to stop your coir bedding falling through and evenly spread the coir bedding over the tray.
- Your worm farm is now ready for worms. We recommend covering the worms with a Worm Blanket to help keep the moisture in and help insulate the worm farm from extreme temperatures.
