Babassu (Attelea speciosa) Oil
Babassu oil contains glucosides, vitamins (high in vitamin E) and fatty acids that soften and keep skin supple while being non-comedogenic (code for 'it won't clog your pores'). Babassu oil absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving an oily residue and assists in strengthening the skins barrier function. The high Lauric acid levels provide anti-bacterial properties to the lotion bar.
Avocado (Persea americana) oil
Avocado oil is an absorbant oil high in monounsaturated fatty acids, minerals, vitamins A, D and E and contains carotenoids (beta-carotene) as well as high levels of phytosterols, mainly b-sitoterol. In harmony with our other ingredients, avocado oil brings a calming, healing and nourishing component to this lotion bar.
Hemp (Cannabis sativa) seed oil
Hemp is rich in the antioxidant, Vitamin E, gamma-linolenic acid and oleic acids, with a good balance of omega 3 and Omega 6 oils which may aid in settling inflammation. Hemp seed oil also contains carotene (Vitamin A precursor), phytosterols and a tonne of minerals; calcium, magnesium, sulfur, potassium, phosphorus as well as iron and zinc. This oil is highly moisturising!
Neroli (Citrus aurantium) Essential Oil
Neroli oil can help maintain the skins elasticity and may reduce the severity of lines and wrinkles by encouraging cell renewal and growth. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C and as such can aid in protecting the skin from free radicals and inflammation. It also promotes collagen production and helps smooth skin. What's not to love?
Frankincense (Boswellia serrata) essential oil
Frankincense oil is a well known skin tonic and a powerful astringent which contributes to it’s anti-aging and rejuvenating effects on the skin. It helps to tone and tighten the skin, help reduce dark spots, reduce pore size and prevent wrinkles. It can also aid in healing inflamed or irritated skin.
